Well, we just received our Xserv XRAID from Apple and its pretty sweet! We got the full mac daddy... 2.5 TB accross all 14 drives and this sucker is HEAVY... like 100lbs. Its not as big as i thought it would be though. As i have taken the hot-swappable components out, i have come to the conclusion that this box is VERY well designed. When we fire it up later today, we'll see if this thing is as loud as an XServ or less. I'll let you all know.

I got to play with one for a while at an Apple demo at my University. Very cool. Everything is redundant, power , fans, drives. I drooled all over the thang.
