Has anyone else seen problems using Mac IE 5.2.x on Mac OS X or IE 5.1.x on OS 9 and submitting forms on the web while using a secure (HTTPS/SSL) connection? I suddenly started getting reports a few weeks ago about users not being able log in and use my site when connected securely and using Mac IE.
Yes, I know IE sucks and we should all be using Safari, Mozilla, Camino, etc. but some people don't.
I thought IE 5.2.3 would fix the problem on OS X since Microsoft's few notes about the release mentioned it fixed problems with secure connections but the problem remains.
The login form works which is loaded from one URL (https://login.mydomain.com) and posts to a different server (https://login.mydomain.com) works properly but when they submit a form that loads and submits to the same server (https://www.mydomain.com to https://www.mydomain.com) an error in the browser occurs.
I couldn't find any info looking through Microsoft's KnowledgeBase nor could I find any details about what IE 5.2.3 supposedly fixed. Searching on Google last week didn't turn up any helpful info either.
Any help or reports of similar issues would be greatly appreciated. I hope I'm not the only one seeing this issue.

I notice it's been over a year since you posted. Have you been able to find a solution?
